Short Synopsis: | The main questions for this project were: what is travelling all about and what makes a moment unforgettable? And we realized that there is not just “one answer” to these questions but uncountable ones. Travelling is all about moments that create individual memories. And what kind of memories make a trip unforgettable is totally different depending on preferences and interests of each and everyone and results in strong and touching emotions. And memories linked with strong emotions become seared in the brain. When we get emotional, the amygdala in our brain is stimulated and our bodies often secrete adrenaline. Somehow, these two processes work on the hippocampus, which is the centre of memory function, and our memories for that time period are sharpened. So that was the foundation in creating the pictures for our spot. Not just travel porn but moments that have a value to the individual people in these experiences. And this can either be a supposedly “simple” moment of dancing or seeing a shark in an aquarium for the first time as well as jumping out of a plane or seeing the astonishing beauty and art of the Sagrada Familia. So this is how we came up with a collage of our memories everyone can relate to. |
