DISCOUNTS
'Cultural Impact' Categories
Films raising public awareness promoting gender equality, racial equality and peace in times of war can be entered free of charge in these specific categories. You can donate the money you save here to a good cause of your choice instead.
4+1 Upgrade
Multiple Entries - If you have 5 or more entries in the same order you get the most expensive entry FREE. Discounts are calculated automatically at the end of the submission process.
Emerging Talent Discount
Berlin Commercial offers young directing talent and their teams (with 5 projects or less under their belt) a 50% discount to run in the regular competition (ALL categories, except 'New Genereation Award').
The discount applies when less than 5 paid projects define the professional portfolio.
Just select ‘emerging talent’ in the entry form and the discount will be automatically calculated at the end of the submissions process.
Please be aware: Berlin Commercial will examine your previous work (website, Vimeo, social channels) if you are proved to be ineligible for the 'Emerging' discount, you will be asked to pay the full price entry fee, or risk having your work withdrawn

Each year the winners of the Berlin Commercial Awards get defined in four consecutive qualification rounds.
RAW SELECTION
The RAW-Selection is Berlin Commercial’s way to feature a broader spectrum of submissions on the run.

ELIGIBILITY
Eligibility Period: Entries produced after March 1, 2023 are eligible for entry into Berlin Commercial 2024. Please note, projects submitted for an award in previous years are not eligible.
Entries cannot be made without the permission of the client and/or owner of the rights of the work. Berlin Commercial retains the rights to disqualify entries which offend national, religious, cultural or racial feelings. There are no refunds on completed entries, you can always change the submitted media and credits while entries are open. By entering, you agree to these rules and warrant that you are eligible to enter the Contest.
You must pay an entry fee for each Submission that you submit (the “Entry Fee”). YOU WILL NOT BE REFUNDED FOR ANY REASON INCLUDING DISQUALIFICATION.
To submit your Submission, you must (1) complete the entry form/media upload on this site (2) confirm your agreement to these Official Rules; (3) pay the Entry Fee using an authorised payment method. Berlin Commercial's decision on all matters relating to the awards are final and binding in all respects.
GRANT OF LICENSE
By entering your work you permit Berlin Commercial the usage of your work such as footage from it for further communication on the companies social channels and website. Please make sure you have the rights to enter work to Berlin Commercial - Festival for Creators of Visual Culture.
Please have your project finished by August 14st - so it can be included in the festival program, online platforms, presented to the high-profile jury and be showcased during the Award Show, in case of a successful selection by the jury.
By submitting your Submission, you grant Berlin Commercial a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, edit, publicly perform, display, reproduce, transmit, sublicense, and distribute in all media formats that exist now or in the future the submission in connection with (1) Berlin Commercial and the promotion of Berlin Commercial and (2) the promotion of future iterations of the Berlin Commercial Festival.
INDEMNIFICATION
You shall indemnify, defend, and hold the contest parties harmless from any losses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from any third party action (a) asserting a breach by you of any representation, warranty, or obligation in these official rules; or (b) asserting that your submission infringes or violates any law or any third party right, including any intellectual property right.
