We wanted to tell the story of Fritsie in an authentic and real way, with a touch of Disney magic. Martin Werner created a world which does not feel like any specific time or place. A magical and slightly surreal world which the viewer would not be able to instantly recognise. The greatest challenge lay in bringing the bird in our cuckoo clock to life. We chose to spend our time and money modelmaking rather than with CGI (only giving it a final ‘post’ twist with the eyelids in the end). |
