20 years ago the Mexican Ministry of Tourism created the Pueblo Magico Program to develop tourism and thus more money to areas previously less frequented by both foreigner and native visitors. For some of the towns designated as Pueblo Magico’s it has come at the cost of it’s diverse ecosystem and local charm. However hope abounds in the residing communities in a race against time to make right by the land they call home. |
