| Short Synopsis: |
Our short film tells the story of Black Pearl, a young, talented multidisciplinary artist, dancer and model from São Paulo. As she evolves into the person she was always meant to be, she continually faces setbacks that challenge her progress. While she aspires to realize her dreams abroad, she is repeatedly confronted by the constraints of her familiar society. Through a symbiosis of modern and abstract storytelling, the film has a mix of a cinematic, documentary-like narrative that portrays her life story. The core of the story is a dance choreography consisting of elements of modern ballet, contemporary and vogue. Her emotions become intensified by a abstract thermal world, which focuses on her inner voice. |
