Short Synopsis: Internationally renowned director Ben Mege brings his visionary approach to the explosive new music video for Dj Snake and Peso Pluma’s latest track, "TEKA". Released on April 18th 2024 and previewed at Coachella where Dj Snake and Peso Pluma were both playing, the video is available for viewing on YouTube, marking another milestone in the careers of these dynamic artists.

"TEKA" features Dj Snake and Peso Pluma embarking on a surreal adventure that starts in a seemingly ordinary car parked in a hangar. As the track blares through the speakers, miniature people emerge from the car’s engine and air conditioning vents, transforming the vehicle into a colossal club from their miniature perspective. This imaginative concept is brought to life through a seamless blend of live-action footage and cutting-edge digital effects.

Ben Mege, known for his award-winning work in both the music and advertising industries, utilized motion capture, 3D character creation, and environment creation to craft a photorealistic parallax that merges real-world footage with fully CG-created scenes. This innovative technique ensures that "TEKA" is not just a music video but a cinematic experience.

The production of the video was handled by Caviar, a powerhouse in the international production scene. Established in 2006, Caviar’s commitment to groundbreaking narratives and out-of-the-box thinking has solidified its reputation as a leader in film and commercial production. The company’s recent project, Sound of Metal, won two Academy Awards and was nominated for Best Picture.

Ben Mege comments on the project, "I wanted to create visuals that celebrate the dance side of the track but also with a weird and narrative layer to it.
We had a very limited shooting window, during which I mainly focused on both artists performances. The mini party was done in 3D, which allowed to bring a lot of dynamic camera moves, hard to achieve IRL in the small space of the car. We casted and styled our 3D characters just like in a normal live action shoot. They are all unique with distinct personalities. It was a lot of fun!”

His unique vision for "TEKA" reflects his extensive experience and his capability to blend narrative with breathtaking visuals, a hallmark that has earned him critical acclaim and numerous awards throughout his career.
