Short Synopsis: |
NOTHING IS QUITE AS IT MAY SEEM. This collection means to empower men and women to follow their own pattern of individuality. This collection means to empower men and women to abandon all restraint society puts upon them to fit a mould. We meet our characters executing tasks traditionally done by women in a home or working environment fulfilling a certain stereotype. The viewer encounters the two-sided reality of what seems to be a satisfactory fulfillment of a role model. |

Notes for Judging: |
This Fashion Film shot in January 2020 is a piece of collaboration: Fashion designer Anique Wild asked cinematographer Nino Michel and production designer Jimena Cugat, who had been developing a creative collaboration, to join her in making this piece for the completion of her graduate fashion collection. Inspired by Anique's collection concept, the characteristics of each look and strong ideas on gender fluidity towards overcoming stereotypes, Nino and Jimena developed the storyline and setting of this fashion film. The piece is shot in one sequence, though during editing process we assembled different takes. Severin Häne and François Emmanuel Le Cunff composed the music specially for the collection and the film, taking on the mood provided by the collection. |
