| Short Synopsis: | This is a film that emerged out of researching and understanding Gyokuro — a tea that fascinates not only through its pure craftsmanship and simplicity but also through the philosophical essence it brings to life, paired with a beautiful mysticism. A short film that seeks to capture Gyokuro’s soft and fleeting essence and soul. On one hand, it showcases the mindfulness of its craft. An ode to simplicity and an ode to its heritage. On the other, it reflects the peaceful state of mind that accompanies its presence, a concept in Japanese philosophy known as Ma (間, lit. 'gap, space, pause'). A healing journey and a manifesto for mindfulness — in the age of hyper distraction we find ourselves in. |
