| Short Synopsis: | A poetic reflection on empathy, violence, and blurring in contemporary media. Our minds easily decipher what has happened — even when a figure is reduced to pixels or a smudge. This way of visualizing content stripped of clear human forms still evokes emotion in us, and at the same time — normalizes evil. In this fog of war, we ask questions about empathy and humanity. At what point does a smudge stop being a human? Every day, as I scroll through the internet, we come across executions, bombings, humiliations. These images, once censored, now spread freely on platforms like Signal and Telegram.The only censor is you. “Warning: this video contains graphic content.” |
