| Short Synopsis: | With Moonflower, a young director comes to terms with his father's suicide by reconstructing his last moments in a chamber play-like production and daring to try and understand a confused world of thoughts - a journey that has taken him all the way back to his father's disturbing childhood. Based on several love letters collected by his father in his 20s, the story of a young man who has spent his life trying to escape violence and depression and has lost his son and his mother as his last refuge emerges... Moonflower is a short film that dares to grasp trauma, process guilt and confront the question of the meaning of one's own existence, while the boundary between reality and memory becomes blurred. |
