Short Synopsis: | CONVERSATIONS is a film that blurs the line between reality and perception, set against the backdrop of New York City’s restless energy. With no client or production company behind us, we created this piece purely out of creative passion and a desire to explore storytelling on our own terms. Divided into two parts, the film follows Junie, who is urgently trying to convince someone that the sun and the moon can exist in the sky at the same time. His argument leads nowhere, and frustrated, he stops. But then, a subtle realization—he was talking to no one all along. Dania enters, exuding confidence in a series of beauty shots before engaging in a conversation about how people in NYC are “losing it.” Another person joins, agreeing and sharing a peculiar encounter: witnessing a man talking to himself about the sun and the moon. The loop closes as Junie, now part of the conversation, acknowledges the irony—he was that man. A stylish and surreal commentary on urban isolation, CONVERSATIONS explores the way narratives fold in on themselves, revealing that sometimes, the stories we tell are about us all along. |
