Short Synopsis: | Movement Trilogy is a captivating 7-minute short film by renowned choreographer and dancer Sigal Zouk, showcasing a powerful journey through three distinct emotional states: "How to Disappear," "Back to the Beginning," and "In the Meantime." Through Zouk’s evocative performance, the film explores the cyclical nature of life, embracing themes of light and darkness, vulnerability, resilience, and self-discovery. Set in the historic Monopol Berlin in Wedding, a space rich in cultural significance, the location amplifies the emotional depth of Zouk’s performance, becoming a character in itself. The soundtrack features a gentle, original arrangement of Will Oldham’s "I See Darkness," enhancing the emotional resonance of the narrative. Movement Trilogy was born as a collaborative, experimental project by an international team of Berlin-based creators, primarily from Israel. Rooted in the personal pain of ongoing war, grief & generational trauma, The film reflects the power of art to heal , connect and transcend. In these dark times, we hope even the smallest light will shine through. |
