| Short Synopsis: | Shadows is a short film about youth and unspoken love, inspired by Haruki Murakami’s The City and Its Uncertain Walls. Three young people embark on a hike, surrounded by vast landscapes, yet each confined within their own emotional walls. Unspoken feelings linger between them. One loves another, but the emotions remain hidden, unexpressed, or misunderstood. Narrated by American artists Julia Scher and Kathleen Renish, the film explores the quiet ache of silent love and the barriers we build around our hearts. Yet beyond their uncertainty, there is a place of hope - a radio telescope at the end of their journey, where they momentarily feel free. A metaphor for their future, it stands as a reminder that communication, whether spoken or silent, is what ultimately connects us. |
