| Short Synopsis: | This is a commercial about Coulson Aviation for Export Development Canada (EDC). Coulson is a third-generation family business out of Port Alberni, BC, Canada, that's been managing forests and fighting fires for more than three decades. Coulson has been at the forefront of protecting the environment and our communities from the increasing threat of forest fires. They have developed what is widely viewed as some of the best in class performing technologically and firefighting techniques… they are often fighting fires on multiple continents simultaneously. Unfortunately the impacts of climate change have resulted in warmer springs, longer summer dry seasons and drier vegetation, which have led to an increase in wildfire season length & frequency. Forest fires are more devastating than ever, and are increasingly encroaching on urban population centres. This is a story about how technology, innovation, bravery and talent come together to face the realities of climate change. Supported by Export Development Canada (EDC), the company has become a world leader in aerial firefighting, with success built on grit, sweat, and blisters. |
