| Short Synopsis: | "This is a reclaiming. A reckoning. A travel through the motions of healing, understanding, adjusting. This is a safe space. A retelling. An attempt to reshape the way that history has been framed - the information that’s been made available to us. Here, we follow our protagonists in real time, accompanied by flashbacks and a voiceover that details the fact that historically, black people have been stripped of humanity in America, and were at one point even constitutionally considered as 3/5 of a human being. Our goal is to touch upon and acknowledge the truth of what’s occurred, while setting our intention behind forward progression, evolution." |
