| Short Synopsis: | Love Arabella Bartsch considers love and the shared state of mind between two people from Maati Suuronen’s Futuro Houses In a study of love as the purest form of human emotion, Berlin-based filmmaker Arabella Bartsch directs short film Love. Featuring multidisciplinary artist and friend Astan KA, alongside partner and fellow artist Exocé Existe, the film explores the state of mind created between two people, and the emotional, spiritual and intimate bonds that facilitate it. “I wanted to create a piece of art where the viewer is fed and spiritually nourished by human connection. If we strip everything away, LOVE is the purest feeling that we experience as humans. We exchange and sacrifice ourselves to another being in return for a new life.” Visualizing a shared future from within Finnish architect Maati Suuronen’s futuristic vision, the film combines elements of afro-futurism and retro-futurism, shot against the backdrop of Suuronen’s Futuro Houses – in both Berlin and Paris. Soundtracked by South Korean producer Beck Junghyun, Love explores the purity and symbolism of true connection through the spaces we build around us, connecting with energy shared and the new life it brings into being – physically and philosophically. |
